My 8/8 Lions Gate Ritual for Dreaming Bigger | Soul & Vision

My 8/8 Lions Gate Ritual for Dreaming Bigger | Soul & Vision

There’s something about August that always feels a little bit magical to me.

The long evenings. Cycling around catching sunrise & sunsets. That feeling that summer is still here, but something new is quietly waiting around the corner.

And then there’s 8/8 — the Lions Gate Portal.

A date associated with manifestation, abundance, transformation and dreaming a little bigger about what might come next. It adds butterflies to my energy.

If you’re already into manifestation, you’ll probably have 8/8 circled in your mind. And if you’ve never heard of the Lions Gate Portal before, stay with me. You really don’t need to know all the spiritual ins and outs to create your own little 8/8 manifestation ritual.

For me, it’s simply a beautiful excuse to stop for a moment, get really honest about what I want, and dream a little bigger than I normally allow myself to.  You don't have to go to deep - it can be as simple as just taking a little moment as a gentle nod to let your mind wander & bring an awareness to your future dreams!

And I think we all need days like that.

Especially when life is full.

Work, family, enjoying a healthy life while being sure to fit in the holidays and the special moments with friends, the endless lists in our heads… we can spend so much time making sure everything and everyone else is okay that our own dreams somehow get pushed to the bottom.

So for 8/8, I’m bringing mine back to the top.

And I’d love you to do the same.

What is the Lions Gate Portal?

The Lions Gate Portal is a modern spiritual concept associated with this time of year, reaching its symbolic peak on 8 August — 8/8.

It’s become a day connected with manifestation, abundance, transformation and stepping into the next version of yourself.

And, of course, there’s the magic of the number eight.

In numerology, eight is associated with abundance, power and balance. Turn it on its side and it becomes the infinity symbol — which I’ve always thought was rather beautiful.

Infinite possibility.

Infinite versions of where life could take us next.

I don’t believe manifestation means writing something down and then sitting back waiting for the universe to pop it through the letterbox.

Although wouldn’t that be lovely?

For me, it’s more about deciding what I want, believing that it’s possible… and then being brave enough to start moving towards it.

There’s a little bit of magic.

And a little bit of work and if i'm honest....if you delve deeper, a whole lot of strategy (watch this space!)

I think you need both.

My 8/8 Lions Gate Manifestation Ritual

Find ten or twenty minutes that are just yours.

Maybe it’s first thing in the morning before everyone else wakes up.

Maybe it’s after Pilates, coffee beside you, when the house is finally quiet.

Or maybe it’s late at night, candle lit, hair up, skincare on and the day finally done.

There are no rules.

Make it feel lovely.

I’ll have my beautiful velvet journal, my Diptique 34 candle and one of my favourite Soul & Vision crystal bracelets with me alongisde my manifestation crystal (a special one I chose years ago - it comes everywhere)

Choose your cyrstal or your bracelt according to whatever you feel you need more of right now.

Maybe Jade Stone for abundance and that gorgeous, everything-is-possible energy.

Rose Quartz if you’re calling in more love — including a little more love for yourself.

Clear Quartz Goddess Aura if life feels noisy and you’re craving clarity about where you’re going next.

Or Tiger’s Eye if you know exactly what you want… you just need the confidence to go after it.

Or ignore all of that and simply choose the crystal or bracelet you can’t stop looking at.

Sometimes I think our intuition gets there before our head does.

Step One: Decide How You Want to Feel

Before thinking about what you want to manifest, ask yourself:

How do I want my life to feel?

Abundant?

Free?

Loved?

Strong?

Creative?

Peaceful?

Exciting?

Don’t overthink it.

Notice which word makes something inside you say, yes… more of that.

That feeling is where I’d begin.

Step Two: Write Your Eight Intentions

Now for my favourite part.

At the top of a fresh page, write:

If I knew everything was going to work out beautifully, what would I ask for?

And then write.

No sensible answers required.

No worrying about how.

No wondering whether you’re being unrealistic.

And absolutely no making yourself smaller.

Write down eight things you would love to welcome into your life.

They can be big, tiny, material, emotional, practical or completely dreamy.

A beautiful home.

A stronger body.

More money in the bank.

A business idea you can’t stop thinking about.

A month somewhere warm.

Falling wildly in love.

Feeling like yourself again.

More time with the people you adore.

A new beginning.

More freedom.

More fun.

Whatever comes up, let it come up.

The magic of this sometimes helps us notice that wanting more doesn’t necessarily always mean wanting more things.

Sometimes the biggest luxury is space.

Time.

Health.

Freedom.

Peace.

Feeling excited by your own life again.

Whatever “more” looks like for you, write it down.

Step Three: Choose the One That Gives You Butterflies

Now read your eight intentions back.

One of them will probably have a little sparkle around it.

You know the feeling.

It’s the one you linger over.

The one that makes you smile.

Or the one that makes you think, Oh God, imagine if that actually happened…

That’s your one.

Circle it.

Take your bracelet or crystal in your hands for a moment, close your eyes and imagine this intention has already become part of your life.

What does your morning look like?

How do you feel in your body?

What are you wearing?

Where are you going?

Who are you spending your time with?

What have you stopped worrying about?

What does this version of you no longer say yes to?

And what does she finally say yes to?

Stay there for a minute.

Let yourself have the daydream.

Because somewhere between being sensible, responsible grown-ups and taking care of everyone else, I think we can forget how good it feels to imagine something wonderful.

Step Four: Give the Universe a Little Help

This is the part I never skip.

Ask yourself:

What would the version of me who already has this do next?

And then do one tiny thing.

Send the email.

Make the call.

Book the class.

Open the savings account.

Start writing.

Put your name forward.

Have the conversation.

Book the trip.

Say no to something that no longer feels right.

It doesn’t need to be dramatic.

Just one little move in the direction of the life you’ve been imagining.

Because I love manifestation.

I love crystals.

I love signs and synchronicities and those funny little moments when something happens and you think, okay universe, I see you.

But I also believe we have to meet the magic halfway.

Step Five: Wear Your Intention

When you’ve finished your ritual, put your bracelet on or pop your cyrstal somewhere close.

Let it become your little 8/8 talisman.

Nobody else needs to know what it means.

That’s part of the magic.

Your bracelet can simply be this beautiful thing on your wrist that quietly reminds you of the promise you made to yourself.  If it's a crystal under your pillow then just place your hand on it each morning or evening.

Every time you notice it…

Remember your eight wishes.

Remember the one you circled.

Remember that version of you that you met in your daydream.

And keep walking towards her.

Maybe that’s why I’ve always loved crystals and jewellery so much.

A bracelet can be beautiful simply because it’s beautiful.

But when you attach a memory, a wish or an intention to it, it becomes something else entirely.

It becomes part of your story.

And that is exactly what I want Soul & Vision pieces to be.

Little pieces of magic that you wear through real life.

School runs and coffee dates.

Pilates mornings and big meetings.

Holidays and heartbreaks.

Ordinary Tuesdays and completely life-changing days.

All of it.

Which Crystal Bracelet Should You Choose for 8/8?

Don’t overthink this part.

Ask yourself what you want to call in — and notice which crystal you’re naturally drawn towards.

For abundance & possibility — Jade
Traditionally associated with abundance, prosperity and good fortune. I love Jade when an intention is about growth, opportunity and opening yourself up to more.

For love & self-worth — Rose Quartz
Soft, feminine and beautiful, Rose Quartz is traditionally associated with love and compassion — including the relationship we have with ourselves.

For clarity & intention — Clear Quartz
A beautiful choice when you want to cut through the noise, focus your intentions and become clearer about what you want next.

For courage & confidence — Tiger’s Eye
For the intention that requires you to trust yourself, be brave and take up a little more space.

And sometimes?

Forget what the crystal is supposed to mean and choose the bracelet that makes your heart beat a little faster.

There’s usually a reason you’re drawn to it.

A Little Something to Hold Your Intention…

Choose the crystal that speaks to what you’re calling in, and let your Soul & Vision bracelet become a beautiful little reminder of where you’re going.

One Last Thought for the Lions Gate Portal…

Whatever your age and whatever your circumstance,  dreaming should be part of your happy vibe....

And remember there’s something incredibly exciting about knowing yourself better, caring a little less about what everyone else thinks and asking:

What would I love the next chapter to look like?

There are still so many versions of our lives we haven’t lived yet.

So this 8/8, give yourself permission to imagine one.

Make a coffee or pop for a Matcha.

Light the candle.

Choose your bracelet.

Write your eight wishes.

And be wildly, beautifully optimistic about what might happen next.

After all…

What if it all works out even better than you imagined?

With love & a little magic,
